Service Description

This 16-hour WFA covers evidence-based treatments for various injuries, illnesses, and environment related hazards that may occur while working or playing in the outdoors. The course will be taught entirely in the outdoors at Donner Summit, Auburn Quarry, or Cosumnes River Gorge. In addition to engaging, hands-on training, students receive: -OSHA approved First Aid/CPR/AED certification -WFA or WFR Recert certification from MTN. (MTN has reciprocity with NOLS) -Cal-EMSA Epi Auto-Injector Certification -EMTs and Paramedics receive 16 hours of CEUs. Provider #34-4980. Equipment list: -Camp chair -Sun protection -Water bottle, lunch, snacks Optional: -Notepad/Pen (all students receive a textbook and fieldguide) -Clothing that can get bloody/ruined during scenarios
