Service Description

Tactical Emergency Casualty Care is a set of best practice treatment guidelines for trauma care in the high-threat prehospital environment. These guidelines are built upon critical medical lessons learned by US and allied military forces. They are appropriately modified to address specific needs of civilian populations and civilian EMS practice. Topics Covered Include: -Care Under Fire -Bleeding Control -Airway Management -Moving Casualties -Patient Assessment -Improvisation -Identification and Treatment of Shock -High Intensity/High Fidelity Scenarios "The applications of the TECC guidelines for civilian operations are far reaching, beyond just the traditional application in tactical and law enforcement operations. The medical response to almost any civilian scenario involving high risk to responders, austere environments, or atypical hazards will benefit from the guidelines, including active shooter response, CBRNE and Terrorism related events, mass casualty, wilderness/austere scenarios, technical rescue events, and even traditional trauma response." -The Committee on TECC About us: Ian is a TCCC instructor with 10 years of experience in military medicine. He has a background in Special Operations, austere care and brings real world experience directly to your classroom. Ryan is a Wilderness EMT with a decade of experience teaching and practicing remote care/emergency medicine. He loves bringing scenarios to life with good props and moulage. No prerequisites required! EMTs and Paramedics: Get 16 CEUs in 2 days. CE Provider # 34-4980 Capital City CPR is a Recognized Educational Partner of the C-TECC From past students: "If you have to get CEs for you paramedic/emt recert do it the fun way! This was the best class I’ve taken to re-cert." -France, SFPD SVU "The T.E.C.C. class better equipped me for trauma response than the EMT course I recently took. Having instructors with both military and civilian field experience brought a lot of real world knowledge to the class. Both Ryan and Ian explained why certain steps are performed the way they are instead of just teaching you how to do them. It was a lot of hands on learning using real trauma kits and state of the art equipment. Best of all no "death by powerpoint" that is often seen in training." -Tyler, Firefighter/EMT
